The First Time I Wore White
The first time I wore white was with you
We were teenagers
You were the best homecoming date I could ask for.
Everywhere I look,
I still see you
And the memories that we shared
I feel guilty-
I have so much work to do
Yet I can’t stop thinking about you.
What could I have done
To lead to a different outcome?
What did I miss,
Where did I go wrong?
Now, I just sit here watching the world go by
Wondering if it will ever be me
Wearing white again.
